Initiatives of Change International
Initiatives of Change (IofC) is a world-wide movement of people of diverse cultures and backgrounds, active in 60 countries, who are committed to the transformation of society through changes in human motives and behaviour, starting with their own. We inspire, equip and connect people to address world needs, starting with themselves.

Initiatives of Change International (IofC International) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) working to inspire, equip and connect people to address world needs, starting with themselves. It has Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, and Participatory Status at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. It stresses the importance of personal responsibility, ethical leadership and building trust across the world’s divides. Our Vision is a just, peaceful and sustainable world to which everyone, responding to the call of conscience, makes their unique contribution. Our Mission is to inspire, equip and connect people to address world needs, starting with themselves. We work worldwide on several initiatives through a network of individuals, groups, and organisations. Our focus areas are: (i) Trustbuilding: Peace and social cohesion through trust and reconciliation; (ii) Ethical Leadership: Good governance by developing a leadership culture based on moral integrity, compassion and selfless service (iii) Sustainable living: Economic justice and environmental sustainability by transformation of motives and behaviour.

The Forum seeks to inspire, equip and connect people who are active in bringing about Just Governance to promote trust, ethical leadership and peace while also supporting new initiatives that promote human security. Just Governance for Human Security is a year-round platform, with events in different parts of the world. The main Forum is held annually in Caux, Switzerland, and brings together participants from over 40 countries to focus on the ‘Six Pillars of Human Security’.
